The Bennett Service Club needs your HELP! The
Service Club members would like to hold a supply drive of some sort
to aid people in need outside of the United States or at least
outside of King County . Any suggestions of organizations that
can match our donations to people in need would be greatly
appreciated. If you know of such an organization, please send
its name and a description to Mrs. Bolivar or Ms. Slatt. (bolivarj@bsd405.org

Bellevue Schools
Foundation
THANKS!
You Answered
the Call!
Bellevue schools are among the best in the nation, thanks to strong
community support.
Thanks to your support, Phonathon has so far raised $176,413 from
2,216 parents to support a great education for Bellevue students!
Our fall fundraiser is critical, because we need to pay for
books and training that will be used this year.
More than 250 volunteers - parents, high school students, teachers,
principals and BSF Trustees - called parents across the district to
talk about the programs your donations help fund -from academic
improvements and student support to teacher training and certification.
This amazing effort will raise about 19% of our $1.4 million budget,
and improve all student learning across the district. That
includes your kids!
It's not too
late to give! We need your help to reach our $280,000
goal. Make a secure online gift at www.bsfdn.org.
Gifts to BSF
impact every school, every classroom, every child - every day.
Bridging the
Achievement Gap
Bridging the Achievement Gap grants fund projects at schools with
high poverty and significant English language learner populations.
Principals identify struggling students who need extra academic
support and design innovative programs to help them succeed.
This year, Bridging the Achievement Gap funds:
· Elementary -
After-School Reading & Math Programs (Lake Hills), K-2 classroom
support (Phantom Lake), Kindergarten classroom support (Sherwood
Forest & Stevenson), Strategic Reading Intervention
(Spiritridge), and Literacy Assistance for Grades K-1 (Woodridge)
BSF is providing $130,000 towards the Bridging the Achievement Gap
grants this year.
