| How Do I Volunteer? Plan to attend the Parent Welcome Tea...
Held the first day of school, this is a great opportunity to learn more about Bennett's Parent/Teacher/Student Association (PTSA) and the many programs and activities planned for the year. You can sign up for volunteer positions in the classroom and for the many great opportunites offered through PTSA as well as others. Curriculum Night is another opportunity to sign up for classroom volunteer positions. Each of the navigation bars on the left describe the committee or program offered at Bennett. You are always welcome to contact directly, the committee chairpersons or any of the executive board members to volunteer or obtain more information. See the "Who do I contact?" page, found on the navigation bar on the left. If you plan to volunteer at Bennett you must... Obtain and complete a Background Packet from the Main Office and attend a Training workshop held at Bennett by the Bellevue School District. Background checks are required prior to volunteer participation at the school. The training workshops will be scheduled through the main office - dates and times to be determined. Please note: Volunteers for the Bennett Walk-a-thon need to complete the requirements before volunteering at the Walk-a-thon, planned for September, 2011. When you come to volunteer... Check in at the main office, sign the volunteer roster and wear a volunteer nametag while you are at Bennett. Be sure to return the name tag to the office when you are finished and sign out so that in case of emergency the office does not have to account for your whereabouts. | |
