Congrats Bennett Bulldogs!
 
Here are the final results of the walkathon which were shared last Friday at the walkathon assembly:

  • Grand Total Raised:  $66, 287.99

  • Total # of Laps:  24, 020 = 1,715.7 miles or the distance from Bellevue to Omaha, Nebraska (even in the heat!)

  • Principal for the Day (raised the most funds):  Ren Watanabe 

  • Personalized Bennett Sweatshirt (most laps):  Orian Kushnaroff and Sage Snyder

  • Highest Fundraising Teacher:  Mrs. Posey with $4, 412.20

  • Spring Social with a DJ for the entire school (because total # of laps was +18,000

Thanks again to the entire Bennett Community who truly went the distance for our students!

Who: All Bennett students, teachers, parents, grandparents, and siblings. The entire family is welcome! Come cheer on the kids!

 

What: The Walkathon is a PTSA-sponsored family event. This and our auction in the spring are our ONLY fund-raisers for the year.

• Students collect pledges from neighbors, friends, relatives

• On Walkathon day, they walk (or run) as many laps

as they can!

• Soon after, they collect money from those who pledged and turn it into the school office or teacher.

 


Where: Bennett Elementary soccer field

When: Friday, September 23, 3:30-6:00 p.m. (walking stops @ 5:45 p.m.)

 

Why: The money raised goes to the PTSA general fund, which provides money for curriculum enhancement, technology equipment, field trips, assemblies, aides in the classrooms, the science fair and many other activities that benefit our children. *Free Bennett H2O bottle to the first 40 people who pledge a minimum of $250.

 

Food: A pizza meal for $5.00 or $3.00 for a slice of pizza (meal = a slice of pizza, drink, salad & fruit).

 

• Water will provided for free  

• Jamba Juice available for $3.

Did you know…?

FREE t-shirts are given to each Bennett student and staff.

50 LAPS walked buys your Bennett student a trip to the waterspray station to “blast” their teacher!

VOLUNTEERS are how what drives the walkathon! We can’t do it without your HELP! Sign up outside the front office!

PLEDGE FORMS can be returned to the classroom teacher as soon as completed. Pledge forms are due September 21st to your teacher or the front office.

MATCHING FUNDS are a huge benefit! If your company participates in a matching funds program- Please submit online to the Richard Bennett Elementary PTSA. See pledge form for more details. For additional questions contact Liz Dyor at bennettmatching@gmail.com. *Matching funds do not count towards prize eligibility.
